A scan reads the faults recorded by the vehicle’s control units. That alone does not establish the cause of a problem. The basic fault-reading service is separate from an in-depth investigation.

A warning light, noise or starting problem does not identify the part to replace on its own. The checks needed depend on your vehicle and what you have noticed.
Investigating the cause
The symptoms guide mechanical, electrical or electronic checks on the car. We agree the scope and price of those checks with you before starting.
A CASE FROM OUR WORKSHOP
Porsche Cayenne: investigating an overheating problem.
On this Cayenne, cooling-system checks revealed coolant in the vacuum circuit and damaged valves. The faulty valves were replaced, then the system’s operation was checked.

- The make, model, year and engine, if you know it.
- The exact dashboard message or any fault code already recorded, with a photo if you have one.
- What you notice and when: at start-up, when cold or warm, while driving or when stationary. Mention recent work as well.

Does the diagnosis include the repair?
No. The repair is quoted after the need has been identified and you have agreed.
Can I get a diagnosis in the chat?
The adviser helps you describe your request. It does not replace checks on the car and does not confirm a fault.
Can I drive with a warning light on?
The answer depends on the warning light and the symptoms. In case of ineffective braking, overheating, fuel leak or smoke, stop safely and contact assistance.
I already have a fault code. Should the part it mentions be replaced?
The code is useful information to share, but it does not confirm the cause on its own. Describe the symptoms too: checks on the vehicle help establish what work is needed.
Can I contact you without knowing my car’s exact version?
Yes. Send the details you know and describe the problem in your own words. The workshop will clarify the information needed with you; you do not need to diagnose the fault yourself.
